A story of Jamal, the unfortunate sneakerhead.

Yesterday, I went out for a drink with my friends in the local pub. I arrived too early, so I decided to go to the counter and order a beer. A man in a nice blue Armani suit and some shiny vintage Ray-Ban Chaos sunglasses stood at the bar, turned to me and smiled. Suddenly, I recognize him. It was Jamal, a high school friend, that I hadn’t seen in ages. We both went to Wisconsin University and played in the college basketball team. I asked him how he has been all this time. He replied: “It’s funny, but my life just took the craziest turn. Let me tell you what happened to me, two months ago…”

Two months ago, I was browsing on the Internet for the next big addition to my sneaker collection. After looking everywhere, I suddenly came across the Nike Dunk SB Low Paris shoes. They were initially going for $ 24.000, but the seller asked a price of only $ 20.000. I couldn’t pass up this opportunity, so I contacted him and booked a cheap flight and Airbnb room. The flight was already, tomorrow.

The next day, I woke up and I immediately start panicking because I did not hear my alarm clock. In conclusion, I overslept and I had exactly 1 hour to pack my bags and catch the plane. I grabbed some bags, my favorite sneakers and called a taxi. Luckily, 15 minutes later the cab pulled over at my apartment. I stepped into the car and was instantly overwhelmed by the smelly garlic odor which was coming out of the driver’s mouth. The fact he was yelling to me in Russian also didn’t help.

After some minutes, we hit the biggest traffic jam I had ever seen. I could see the airport at the end of the street, so I decided to go further on foot. I ran as hard as I could with my two heavy bags filled with sneakers. Eventually, I arrived at the gate on time and put my bags on the baggage claim. The security looked suspiciously at me in my sweaty clothes and signaled that I should step out of the line. “Your bags are too big and heavy. You can only take one bag with you!”, he said. At this moment, I had only 5 minutes left until my plane was leaving, so I became agitated. I started yelling and making a scene. I don’t think I need to tell you what the security did against a nervous black man that is yelling at an airport, but here it goes… They took me with them and locked me up for one night to “calm down”.

The next day, I left one bag of sneakers behind and booked a new flight. After being awake the entire night in prison, I slept all flight and even the crying baby next to me couldn't keep me awake. When we landed, I took a cab to the Airbnb. We arrived at the Airbnb and I knocked on the door. A pale tall guy with a colander on his head, named Kevin, welcomed me in. Kevin was convinced that Trump and the CIA could read his mind if he wasn’t wearing his colander. I couldn’t’ care less, I just wanted to take a shower, so I asked where my room was. I almost exploded when he said “Upstairs to the right, but remember that the shower is not working. We take showers under the garden hose here!”. Disappointed, tired and sweaty, I went to my room and contacted the seller of the coveted Nike sneakers. We could meet in a couple of hours, so I called an Uber and left the house and weird Kevin.

After some minutes, we arrived at the residence of the seller. A big mansion with a garden as big as a football field. I stood there in awe, when he opened the big gates of his house. He was smiling at me in his Gucci suit wearing big designer Calvin Klein sunglasses. “What happened to you? Did you sleep under a bus?” He asked me to come in and showed me around his house. We passed a display case filled with old sport cards, before entering a room where hundreds of vintage sun eyewear frames where displayed. He said to me: “Let me tell you a secret. I used to be just like you. Selling sneakers for little profit and lots of hassle. Stop wasting money on shoes, start investing in vintage sunnies and live like a king, just like me!” I nodded, turned around and left the house. Outside, I saw a homeless man, I took off my Adidas Springblades sneakers and gave it to him.

When I arrived at home, I sold my entire collection of sneakers and invested the money again in designer sun eyewear. After a couple of weeks, I made such a big profit that I could finally buy this Armani suit.

I was so moved by Jamal’s story, that he persuaded me to try it for myself. The next day, I searched on Google and stumbled upon Mydesigneroptic.com. This could be a great start to a beautiful story, with lots of benefits.
